 Sleep Medicine Opportunity / Pulmonologist Opportunity / Kentucky / Tennessee

 

Humana Military Healthcare Services is seeking a Part Time (20 to 32 hours per week) Pulmonologist/Sleep Medicine Physician  to care for our servicemen and women in at outpatient clinic setting at Ft. Campbell Army Base in Western KY. Straddling the KY/TN state line, and located adjacent to Clarksville, TN, Ft. Campbell is only 50 miles northwest of the Music City--Nashville, TN!


Approximate Division of Duties:  Sleep Medicine (75%) and Pulmonology (25%). Clinic hours are M-F, 7:30 - 4:30.

No Call. 

 

 

Compensation:  Lucrative Hourly Rate as Independent Contractor, plus medical malpractice coverage under Federal Tort Claims Act.

 

Qualifications include:  MD/DO must be BC in Pulmonology AND Sleep Medicine.  Must have recent clinical experience.  Must be U.S. Citizen, per U.S. Government guidelines. Will utilize ANY active/unrestricted state license!

Qualifications

 

Meet all licensing/certification requirements to perform as a Pulmonologist

 

Be a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Osteopathy (DO) who is Board Certified in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine

 

Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license in one of the 50 states in the U.S. or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

 

Must have a minimum of two years of experience within the last three years working as a Pulmonary Medicine Physician and Sleep Medicine Specialist.  This experience requirement is in addition to Residency. 

 

Foreign medical graduate physicians shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.

 

Must possess and maintain an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout the contract period of performance.

 

Graduates of foreign medical schools are required to possess both a medical license and other certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or 5th Pathway

 

The provider shall be able to type and have had experience using computers, but will not be required to type a certain amount of words per minute.  The MTF will provide computer training on the hospital computer systems.
